When this Parisian business relocated its offices, it turned to an architectural practice to completely redesign the new premises. This is where Ateliers ARKAL came in, tasked with realising the architect’s vision for the furniture across the work and social spaces, and in the connecting areas.
Modest in scale, this fit-out is nonetheless a fine example of the combined expertise brought to the project. The challenge was to create furniture that would sit harmoniously within the wider design.
Having worked together on previous projects, our tried-and-tested collaboration with this architectural practice saw us fully deliver on the client’s expectations – on time and on brief.
Our bespoke solutions come with finishes you simply won’t find elsewhere. Every detail is considered down to the last millimetre, ensuring each piece integrates perfectly into the space it was intended for. It’s also a way of making the mundane invisible, with bins, ventilation systems and fire extinguishers all unobtrusively incorporated into the design.
For these Paris offices, everything was conceived in a spirit of harmony. A sense of continuity greets visitors throughout, carried by a consistent use of materials, finishes and colours.
The enclosed spaces follow the same logic, including the meeting and video-conferencing room. All technical elements such as cables, microphones and electrical sockets have been concealed without sacrificing accessibility, keeping the space clean and uncluttered. The low unit in the room features a combination of solid-fronted cupboard doors and fluted glass panels. It houses a fan coil unit and includes recesses for slotting frames in against the acoustic panels.

On this project, Ateliers ARKAL’s work centred primarily on the communal areas. The meeting rooms, circulation spaces and dining area are used daily by every member of staff and visited by clients and partners. Visual consistency is therefore paramount – across both colour and material.
The fit-out of these Parisian offices brought together a varied palette of materials: wood, metal and concrete. One of Ateliers ARKAL’s core strengths is knowing materials inside out – understanding how to work with them and how to combine them. Each one can behave differently depending on how it is used and what it is paired with, which calls for testing, prototyping and careful adjustment along the way.
We also worked closely with specialist partners, particularly in metalwork and ironmongery.
Ateliers ARKAL goes beyond design – we are a trusted adviser too, supporting our architect clients in giving form to their ideas, whatever the challenges.
